How it started
It all began with a dream of creating our own rescue to focus on a specific area that is lower priority for the typical rescue, rehoming domestic house rabbits. Domestic house rabbits are often an undervalued house pet and when a family can no longer care for their rabbit there are limited places to turn. The rescues that specifically focus on domestic house rabbits have long waiting lists for owner surrenders as they are not the most urgent. A group of rebellious women, formed a specific domestic house rabbit rescue to help fulfill the need for rehoming these wonderful animals.
Who we are
All of us at RRR met through volunteer work with other rabbit rescue organizations. We are all rabbit owners that collectively have 100+ years of experience, caring for, living with and rehabilitating house rabbits. Over the years we have all developed various skills to better the lives of domestic house rabbits and help educate people who have expressed an interest in these unique animals. We educate and help owners and potential adopters without judgement.
Support the rabbits of Massachusetts
RRR is dedicated to spay and neuter each rabbit we work with to reduce medical issues, behavioral issues, and accidental litters. We also believe every rabbit that enters our care should have the appropriate health assessment to address any apparent medical needs. Every donation, large or small, helps us provide essential services. Your generosity gives these gentle creatures a second chance at a happy life.
